Absolute Zero
I've been thinking about super-speed computers and how they need to be super-cooled to achieve super-speeds. I am wondering why the computer guru's don't send their super-servers into orbit around the planet where temperatures are at, or near, absolute zero? Then they could truly have a "cloud" and not only store all information current and past but could setup a truly fast global internet.
Another thing... I've been thinking about related to the subject of absolute zero is cryogenic storage of those humans that foolishly long to be eternal... Really smart entrepreneurs could store thousands upon thousands of bodies in space without any worry of power failure and without much cost, if any, after the bodies are delivered to the colonies of the dead.
Each body could be placed in an individually chipped capsule, which would be easily located and identified. The capsule might be launched, then electronically guided and attached to a colony until such time of its retrieval, if ever. The retrieval could also be electronically launched and guided safely back to earth or to wherever mankind, or whatever might be in power at that time be; then the body could be awakened and healed of whatever the cause of death was and could be restored to health. Then that person would be able to show how truly ignorant they are in this, their new future, and hopefully they would not be considered as a late night snack! I doubt that they would have any great impact when awakened... other than saying, "well, in my day...."
Right now, as I write, I am wondering if anyone else has thought of this... surely they have, but, if not, let it be known, and shown, in the annuls of history that Larry Woods thought of this first and received no credit, or compensation, for it... whatsoever. Or, if duly recognized, just email any type of congratulation or monetary compensation to capsule #BR549.
